When a candle is bigger than light... then it inspires the creation of a special space - the space of the Lviv Candle Manufactory. And when quarantine is unexpectedly announced for several months, it can be a great opportunity to update the interior of the candle space. We've been wanting to do this for a long time, and now we've finally got our hands and feet on it 🙂.
We did not know how and what to change. But we were sure who should do it - we entrusted this responsible and creative work to our good friends, Lviv artists Oleksandr and Ivanka Voitovych. They have never lacked for inspiration, and they love the historic townhouse in which the Lviv Candle Manufactory is located, with its "mystical" staircase space, window openings and special atmosphere. So everything happened by itself 🙂.
A few evenings of discussions over a glass of wine and candlelight later, and everything was a whirlwind of ideas, colours and creative solutions. Our interior was revealed step by step, like a painting. The two floors of the Lviv Candle Manufactory have different functional purposes, but are united by one theme - candles.
The top floor is a shop where a colourful assortment of the manufactory's products is displayed. The idea was to create a high-quality modern marketing space and preserve the atmosphere of the old Lviv interior. And we succeeded by combining colour, wood and forged elements.
The lower floor is a coffee shop that serves wine, good coffee and delicious pastries. It combines the atmosphere of a traditional Lviv winery with a kind of modern mood in the spirit of the French Beaujolais, where an important element of the interior is a painting on the theme of wine.
We are very pleased with the result we achieved. With a little effort and creative thought, any space can become something extraordinary.
