We will give you some useful tips to help you fully enjoy the light and scent of candles.

So, first, about Wick. It should always be trimmed to a length of 0.5 cm before each candle is lit. If you notice that the wick is smoking or charring, you need to extinguish the candle, wait for the wax to dry, trim the wick - and the candle can be lit again! NB Do not leave any cut wick, matches or other debris on the surface of the candle, as this may interfere with the candle's burning.

When you lighting up for the first time If you are burning a paraffin or wax candle, it is important to let it burn until the wax has melted evenly over the entire surface of the candle, right up to the edge. This can take from 1 to 4 hours, depending on the size and material of the candle. For beeswax candles with a diameter of 7-9 cm, it may take a little longer, up to 5 hours.  Then extinguish the candle and let it rest. This avoids the so-called tunnel effect of candle burnout, which makes it difficult to burn the candle later.

To ensure that the candle delights with its light and scent for as long as possible, we recommend lighting it for at least 1 to 3 hours each time, but no more than 4 hours in a row.

Do not allow the candle to burn all the way through. We recommend that you stop using the candle as soon as approximately 1.5 to 2 cm of wax remains at the bottom, if it is a ceramic or glass candle. Otherwise, the mould may overheat and crack. For other types of candles, the burning should be stopped as soon as 2 cm of wax remains. This ensures that the wick is in an upright position and the burning is under control.

It is common for everyone to blow out a candle. But in reality, you shouldn't do this. It's to extinguish the candle, We recommend using special extinguishers or put a lid on the candle: the oxygen will stop flowing and the candle will go out. Alternatively, you can dip the wick into the melted wax with a match. This way, you can prevent the wick from smouldering, which produces an unpleasant smell when you blow out the candle.  Also, never use water to extinguish a candle.

If you are using a candle in a ceramic, metal or glass form, keep in mind that The moulds are heated by the burning of a candle.

If you have purchased a candle in a ceramic or glass form and it has been giving you light and fragrance for some time, you will find it more and more difficult to light it each time. In this case, you will be helped by special matches for candles, which you can find in the Lviv Candle Manufactory shop.

We recommend placing each candle in a candlestick or on a standThe candle should be removed to prevent damage to the surface on which it is placed.

If you have soya wax candleIf you are using a wick, please note that the surface of the candle will no longer be as smooth as it was before the first light. And in the case of a wooden wick, the colour of the wax may change from white to beige or yellowish brown.

If you put several candles closer than 10 cm from each other, they will burn faster.
